Dr. Segun Emmanuel Ibitoye

Dr. Segun Emmanuel Ibitoye is a Mechanical Engineering researcher whose work integrates renewable energy research, engineering design, modelling, and simulation to develop practical solutions for sustainable energy and waste management. He is also a registered professional engineer with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN).

His research focuses on converting agricultural residues and waste biomass into sustainable energy resources, resulting in patented innovations including a torrefaction reactor (NG/P/2022/196) and biomass densification machine (NG/P/2022/194). As Director of Research and Development at Woxsen University, he leads research initiatives, fosters international collaborations, and serves as a peer reviewer for leading journals in renewable energy and engineering.

Recognised for his contributions to renewable energy and mechanical engineering, Dr. Ibitoye is a recipient of the CSIR–TWAS Fellowship, the Best Author Award from the Journal of Bioresources and Bioproducts, the Most Cited Paper Award from Bioresources and Bioprocessing, and the Best Paper Presentation Award at ICMMPE 2021.
